Darcie's 6 Month Photo Shoot | High Wycombe
/Oh Darcie, how did you get so big, so fast??
I still remember getting the email from your mum letting me know that they were expecting another baby and being over the moon! And now here you are, a smiley, toe grabbing little monkey!
I first met Darcie’s family when her mummy was pregnant with their first baby, George. From then onwards I have had the pleasure of photographing them many times as their little family grew in age and number.
For her 6 month photo shoot, I headed to their house in High Wycombe for a lifestyle family shoot.
Lifestyle photo shoots are very relaxed and involve me choosing a few locations around your house for family cuddles and toe grabbing fun.
After starting off in the living room, giving Darcie and big brother George time to warm up to me again, we headed into the Nursery for some photos in her cot.
Although I love white sheets in cots, I also love how colour makes it look much more fun and playful.
Darcie was happy to lay there while I captured her cheekiness. Just check out those faces.
My favourite place to photograph babies during a lifestyle photo shoot is on their mum and dad’s big bed.
Darcie loved grabbing her toes and trying to get them in her mouth. She wasn’t quite sitting yet so we did lots of photos laying on her back, which of course gave her great toe access!
A white vest is a really lovely way to show off chunky baby rolls on arms and legs.
Next it was time to get the whole family involved. Big brother George didn’t seem to think that sitting still sounded very appealing so we naturally resorted to tickle fights.
Modelling so well is very tiring so by the time we did the photos with the whole family, Darcie was sound asleep on her mummy.
I love photographing this little family and already can’t wait to back and see them again very soon for Darcie’s 1 year shoot.
