Creative Newborn Photos Hemel Hempstead | Jamie
/Jamie and his family came to me from Stevenage for his Newborn Photos.
I first met them back in 2016 when I photographed his big brother so it was really great to see them all again.
Jamie wasn’t too interested in sleeping that day but we did get a few sleep moments, starting with his cuddles with his adorable big brother.
Look at the size difference in their hands already! It’s crazy how fast they grow.
Most of the people who come through my doors for newborn photos dream of the sleepy posed photos they’ve seen on my website and on Facebook. Babies on the other hand don’t always do the expected so I never know the type of newborn shoot I’m about to have. Even the sleepiest of babies have awake days.
Whenever parents see the awake photos they are always shocked at actually how much they like them. Yes, I do capture some funny newborn faces but in those brief moments in between you get perfect moments of eye contact and calm.
Wrapping really is magic. Some babies fight it, but others like Jamie realise how safe and secure they feel and drift off to sleep.
One very special thing about this shoot is that they wanted to recreate some photos from their previous shoot to hang together on a gallery wall. How cute are these images? Big brother and little brother 2 1/2 years apart.
Awake or asleep, I can’t not get those gorgeous detail images - although I admit, it’s much easier to photograph them when they’re asleep and not waving around like crazy!
It was so lovely to see Jamie and his family again. Time flies by so fast and a shoot that feels like a month ago can be a year ago or longer and that tiny newborn I photographed is now a walking, talking, personality filled toddler.
I hope I get to see them again in the future so see just how big Jamie has got!
