Newborn Boy Portraits | Charlie

To say I was excited for this Newborn Photo Shoot would be a massive understatement.

I first photographed Charlie’s family back in 2016 when his big brother Harry was born. I went to their house in St. Albans and met the most lovely new parents with their newborn boy. After that photo shoot I was lucky enough to photograph Harry at both 6 months and 1 year.

When I got the email letting me know they were expecting baby number two I was over the moon!

Harry was a little chunk when he was born and when they arrived at my house in Hemel Hempstead for their photo shoot I could see that Charlie was just the same.

To start, I wrapped him up and placed him into a brown crate and then a bowl. He was so comfy, snoozing away.

How cute is Charlie cuddling his teddy?! I bet he’s grown so much already and this teddy doesn’t look so big next to him any more.

Back in 2016 I photographed Harry with one of his dad’s golf balls so I loved it when they turned up with one for Charlie as well.

How adorable is a squidgy baby?! I just love him and his gorgeous rolls.

I love using fluffy blankets. They are not only incredibly comfy for the babies but they also photograph beautifully, specially in black and white.

This image is a composite made with a digital backdrop from Luisa Dunn. Charlie was photographed on a black blanket in his mum and dad’s hands and I then edited them onto the blue heart.
Digital backdrops are a great way to add something a little special to your gallery.

I LOVE detail photographs. The rolls and the toes are my favourite by far.

I absolutely loved photographing you Harry. I hope I get the pleasure of photographing you again soon.
